Egg and Bottle Experiment
A cool science experiment that shows how to get a hard boiled egg into a bottle with a small opening.
When the match is dropped in the bottle the air expands and some of it escapes through the gap at the top. The egg is placed over the mouth so no more can escape, and when the match goes out the air cools and moves closer together. Normally air from outside of the bottle would fill the extra space but because the top is blocked the egg is sucked into the bottle.
