Interesting Staircase Designs
Because of high cost of land and practicality, buildings almost always have multiple floors. Stairs are a necessary tool to bring people from one floor to another, and they are in theory quite simplistic. The creator of these designs combined practicality with artistic inspiration to create some incredible staircases.
The picture above is from a well in India called “Chand Baor” which was built in the 10th century. The numerous staircases were meant to allow many people to access the well at any given time no matter how high the water level was. The well is 13 stories tall with 3,500 total steps.
