		<description>I wear contacts; I have worn them pretty much every day since I was 15 (I&#039;m 28 now).  I can cut up any variety of onion completely tear-free if I&#039;m wearing my contacts.  If I&#039;m cutting an onion while wearing my glasses, however, my eyes burn so badly I can&#039;t even open them.  I don&#039;t know why this happens, but I&#039;ve experimented a few times, and it never fails.</description>
