Real Rainbow Roses

Real Rainbow Roses

These roses are not photoshopped or painted, rather colored by a technique that waters them with dye. By cutting off a rose and splitting the stem, the plant can be placed in different colors of water that feed different petals on the flower. This results in an amazing effect and some beautiful floral arrangements. This technique was successfully tested in 2004 by River Flowers and F.J. Zandbergen. These roses are available for purchase but because of the tedious nature of their creation they can cost upwards of $10 each.
